Novi Sad,
Capital of Vojvodina

Novi sad is capital of northern serbian province Vojvodina and is second largest yugoslav town. Novi sad has population of around 300 000. It is also probably the city that sustained most damage from the NATO attacks. All of his bridges were bombarded. It has been bombed from the very begining and is still under fire almost every night. After the first attack CNN said in their news that NATO have striked the city of Novi Sad, the second largest city in Kosovo, probably trying to justify the NATO attack. Novi Sad is actually in the totally oposite part of the Yugoslavia than Kosovo.

March, 30th
Novi Sad under attack. More than one missile hit Kisac, Futog and Veternik (parts of town).

April, 1st
Two heavy detonations shaked south parts of town. Missiles striked the bridge between Novi Sad and Petrovaradin, southern suburb of the town. Main waterway is also badly damaged so most of the town is out of water at the moment.

April, 3rd
NATO missiles struck the bridge over Danube river that connects downtown Novi Sad with Sremska Kamenica.

April, 5th
Oil rafinery in Novi Sad was hit. Huge flames reported. Large cloud of smoke is over the town.

April, 7th
Oil refinery in Novi Sad was hit again. NATO tried to destroy th third bridge in Novi Sad (two bridges were allready destroyed in the previous nights).

April, 16th
Oil rafinery was hit again last night.

April, 17th
During last night in Novi Sad, 8 persons were wounded from NATO bombs. After the explosions in oil refinery, state of danger from dangereous supstances in the air was declared in Novi Sad.

April, 19th
Province of Vojvodina goverment building in Novi Sad was hit.

April, 21st
Last remaining bridge in Novi Sad, 'Zezeljev' bridge is useless after NATO attack during last night. TV anntena, placed on Fruska Gora mountain was hit, too.

April, 24th
Oil refinery in Novi Sad was hit again last night.

April, 25th
The "Zezeljev most" bridge in Novi Sad has been destroyed. It was the last remaining bridge in Novi Sad.

April, 28th
Oil refinery and TV transmitter on Fruska Gora mt. were hit during the day.
